“The Dundarave Festival of Lights shows true spirit of the season and the best spirit of our community.” West Vancouver's Mayor and Council

The True Spirit of the Season, the Best Spirit of our Community

From the exuberantly druidic steps of Morris dancing to show tunes and children's choirs, the Dundarave Festival of Lights lets the best spirit of our community blaze out in the darkest time of the year.  It gathers us together as neighbours and friends in the pure joy of music.  Christmas 2012 brings the Festival to celebrate West Vancouver's Centennial, offering four Saturdays of fabulously festive and free entertainment, from the Dundarave Christmas Fair on December 1st to the legendary Christmas Wassail and Bonfire Night on December 22nd.

Ending Homelessness Beautifully

In the true spirit of Christmas, the Festival calls out the better angels in all of us to make sure no one is left out in the cold.  Together, through the generosity of everyone who has sponsored a Christmas Tree on beautiful Dundarave Beach, we've raised over $105,000 over four Christmases past for the Lookout Shelter.  West Vancouver's firefighters have done a lot of heavy lifting in their heroic support of the Shelter.  The Lookout Emergency Aid Society has used this money to support essential services for the homeless, doubling the transitional services it provides to the most vulnerable people in our community.

Join us in growing a forest of one hundred Christmas trees on Dundarave Beach by sponsoring a tree of your own.  Let your light shine.

With over 65,000 people—families who have made viewing the trees on the beach a tradition for a generation and people discovering their magic for the first time—coming to this forest of Christmas trees each season, your tree will speak volumes about your best hope for our community.

There's glory enough for all this season, and this is your chance to let your own tree shine at the heart of the Festival.

We're proud to do business with Langley's own Valley View Trees, a family owned tree farm that provides the Festival with consistently beautiful trees.  Support your favourite BC Christmas tree farm this season.  Here's to keeping Christmas green.
