The ultimate Canadian Christmas
The ultimate Canadian Christmas leaves no one out in the cold. In the true spirit of the season, the Festival's "Forest of Miracles" calls out the better angels in all of us. For the very first time, the Forest of Miracles this season has expanded to cover the West Vancouver waterfront, from our very first site at Dundarave Beach eastward to Grosvenor Ambleside Galleria. Sponsored and decorated by families, community groups and businesses, the Festival's Christmas trees on beautiful Dundarave Beach have inspired our community to give a million dollars since 2008 directly to the Lookout Society's North Shore Shelter. West Vancouver's firefighters deserve special mention for their heroic effort in planting this forest and supporting the Shelter. The Lookout Housing+Health Society has used this money to support essential services for the homeless, doubling the transitional services it provides to the most vulnerable members of our community.
